Desert Unit

Hey there! I have been working hard on unit 6 in Wonders and decided I needed a little break. I love a great themed unit and my kids really do too! So, I made an awesome desert unit. It is jammed packed with non-fiction, comprehension, diagrams, tons of report opportunities/formats, math, science, websites and books I recommend to help you through the unit. Wonders

Hey there! So, one of my latest projects has been going through our Wonders language arts curriculum and really dissecting the writing and grammar portions. I have put together 4 of the 6 units so far. Each unit is broken down into 6 weeks. I have put together brainstorming, graphic organizers, prompts, papers, key idea posters and 3 grammar practice worksheets for each week. Ho Ho Holidays!

Hey there! Well the holiday rush is in full swing and so is the holiday learning in my classroom! All five first grade classrooms are taking advantage of my Holiday's From Around the World packet. We made a grade level book focusing on each holiday, as well as small holiday readers. In my classroom each day we have done a holiday read aloud, a holiday craft, read our non-fiction passages and have been walking through the process of writing a explanatory writing piece with a topic sentences, two facts and a concluding sentence. Whooootin’ Owls!

Well, nocturnal week starts on Monday in my classroom and we will be focusing on bats and owls. I made a little bat unit earlier and was looking through my materials and thought that my owls resources could use a little pick me up. So here they are. I can't wait to use them with my kiddos!
