Engage Your Students in Literacy with Free Author Study Activities

Hey friends! Are you looking for engaging digital literacy resources to share with your students or to do with your own children? These author study activities are about some of my favorite authors and I know they will soon become your students’ favorites, too!  I collaborated with a fellow educator and friend, Megan Mitchell from First Grade Roars to create these FREE digital author study resources that you can easily share with your students digitally.  (Printable versions are also included!)

Each author study has a variety of guided reading comprehension activities and other unique extensions tailored to the book. Bonus, there is no need to own the book because each resource has a link to listen to the story as well as a link to explore their website full of other engaging activities.
The authors included in this free author study resource are:
  • Diane Alber
  • Andrew Beaty
  • Doreen Cronin
  • Becky Cummings
  • Drew Daywalt
  • Julie Falatko
  • Pat Zietlow Miller
  • Laura Murray
  • Peter H. Reynolds
  • Karma Wilson
  • Susan Verde
We know that the stress level is high, and the expectations might be unclear, but we know one thing to be true, that we want to continue supporting our students.
We hope that by providing these free digital author study units you will not only be able to continue supporting your students with engaging resources but that we are also able to ease and avoid any unneeded stress.

This sweet guy asked to get his hair colored for C This sweet guy asked to get his hair colored for Christmas. He has done the blue dye, the shampoo kind for a couple of years off and on, but he wanted something to last longer and a new fun color. So here we are.

We try to support any ounce of confidence and him letting his individuality shine. I just love him.
